
Colorful bags for brave people
A few weeks ago we spent a couple of busy days shooting in and around Raahe. The photos turned out great and inspired us to start brightening up the essence of Utua.
Colour is in Utua's DNA
Colors are an essential part of our identity and we want it to be visible. The colorfulness in our bags does not mean that we are discounting the popularity of black and brown . Not at all, they will always be the foundation on which we can base our colorful designs.
It has been studied that colors have different meanings and therefore also effects on people's minds. Yellow , orange and red are energizing, invigorating and stimulating. Blue calms and promotes creativity, green relieves stress. Purple is an elegant and spiritual color, while black symbolizes power and intelligence and is perceived as timelessly elegant.

New slogan
The slogan, a few words that summarize Utua's core message, began to buzz in our minds with the fresh images. How would we convey our deepest purpose in a way that would be immediately understood?
Suddenly, Utua's founder and chief designer Piia Vähäsalo said:
COLORFUL BAGS FOR BOLD PEOPLE.
That was it!
The sentence explained in four words what we offer and to whom. After tasting it for a moment, it also turned the other way around:
BOLD BAGS FOR COLORFUL PEOPLE.
So both are better, whichever suits the context better. We were more than satisfied!
In addition, it also translated smoothly into English: Colourful bags for bold people.

Use of images
Our new images will appear in all of our marketing: on our website and online store, on social media, in newspaper advertisements, on this blog, and in our newsletters.
We use a variety of imagery. Emotional images captured in nature and indoors are an important part of our communication. We also need illustrative product images taken in the studio.

The challenges of online shopping
Realistic and honest images are of utmost importance when shopping online. You can't touch or smell our bags there. You can't try them on your shoulder or feel how the product feels in your hand.
That's why images play an important role in conveying this feeling. The product is photographed from all sides: front, side, back and even inside. You also need to see the dimensions of the bag on a person so that the physical size is shown correctly.
With emotional images, we want to convey moods and present our products as beautiful as they are.
A bold bag will adorn your colorful personality or a colorful bag will showcase your courage. Whatever you want.
